AARC

University of Alberta advanced robotics Club

HISTORY

This club was originally founded as ‘RoboMaster’ in 2017 for the purposes of international, tech-heavy battle-bot type competitions.

Due to political tensions & a desire to broaden the mission of the club, in 2026, the club has rebranded to Alberta Advanced Robotics Club

MISSION

Our mission is to serve as an incubator for engineers interacted in the intersection of all disciplines — Mechatronics

Our primary objective is the growth of robotics at the University of Alberta

Yearly, we compete at the Advanced Robotics Competition (https://www.arc-robotics.org/) against 32 international universities.

FUTURE GOALS

Our primary goal is to broaden our impact in our community & domain.

As a technical club, year-over-year improvements in mechanical design, embedded hardware, control systems, and AI algorithms are crucial indicators of our technical growth.
