The Alberta Advanced Robotics Club (AARC) is the University of Alberta’s premier interdisciplinary engineering organization. Formerly known as UofA RoboMaster (UARM), our team rebranded in 2026 to broaden our technical mission beyond battle-style competitions to integrate with UofA’s new Mechatronics discipline & conduct autonomous research

AARC remains a dominant force in international competitive robotics. Building on our legacy — placing #1 in Canada & 8th overall in 2024 — we continue to field cutting-edge 3v3 and 1v1 platforms.
3v3 Division: Strategic arena-based combat requiring high-speed coordination and robust mechanical endurance.
1v1 Division: High-precision engineering where two bots face off in a technical test of speed and micro-control.
